Accreditation is a specialization skill with its own language, just as in any other specialization. Words may be familiar but the definitions, context, and larger implications often differ from our non-IE/IR colleagues' understanding, creating an environment ripe for miscommunication, confusion, or worse, the development of frustration, despair or hostility.

Demonstrating a number of practical approaches that have been successful at Spalding University at addressing all of the above, this webinar presents in replicable and adaptable detail the strategic thinking behind those approaches for short-term and long-term goals in improving non-IE/IR colleagues' buy-in and competency in completing or preparing for accreditation requirements. Case study examples will use artifacts that were created in the Anthology Planning software environment; familiarity with this software is not required.

Beginner, intermediate, and those who have recently made or planning to make career change to the IE/IR field.

Presenter: Elizabeth Dyer, Spalding University
