9/18/2023	The Finance of Higher Education Where do colleges get their money? How do federal and state governments financially support colleges? What do IR professionals need to know about the finances of higher education? This workshop will provide an overview of key financial concepts of higher education, and how they relate to the field of institutional research. Specific IR topics covered will include things like how to break down revenues and expenses for Fact Books, why "revenues per student" can be misleading, and investigating if the cost-of-attendance is rising at an institution after accounting for financial aid.
