SQL - Part III

Event Description
Building upon the first two SQL workshop installments, SQL III will cover the manipulation of data in SQL, including string manipulations, casting different data types, and window functions such as RANK() and DENSE_RANK().
By the end of the workshop, participants will have the toolkit necessary to work above and beyond a given dataset and make necessary changes for data analysis. The workshop will use practical examples developed specifically for IR professionals.
Participants should be comfortable with basic SQL or be willing to self-study.
We will connect to a sample database during the workshop - participants are welcome to connect and code along in real time, or listen lecture-style and apply hands-on knowledge after the session. Attendees will have access to the sample database after the session.
Connection details and agenda will be sent out in the days leading up to the workshop.
