Job Details

Primary responsibilities of the Director of Institutional Research are:

  • Collect, analyze, synthesize and produce data for both internal use and for meeting federal, state, and accreditation reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the Keyholder to the Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
  • Coordinate and respond to requests for information from publishers of college guidebooks and other institutional surveys.
  • Assist in survey design, development, and analysis.
  • Develop and disseminate College-wide benchmarks, key performance indicators, and other metrics.
  • Coordinate with data stewards across campus departments to ensure availability of information.
  • Coordinate data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Assist with market research on academic programs and industry research to derive comparable metrics for benchmarking.
  • Prepare annual fact book.
  • Represent the Institutional Research function on college committees.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s required
  • Minimum of five years successful experience in a higher education Institutional Research office
  • Exemplary communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff and students
  • Knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, SQL reporting, and other reporting tools such as COGNOS
