GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Senior Research and Data Visualization Analyst supports the research and data analytic agenda of the Office of Institutional Research. The analyst will design and implement studies to precisely research, collect, interpret, analyze, report and/or publish data and information required for compliance with federal and state reports, institutional effectiveness, institutional advancement, enrollment management and retention and all other research and survey initiatives as required. A focus of this position is to provide in depth analytical and statistical expertise, including developing and maintaining dashboards, and to summarize and present analytical results to inform policy development and institutional decision-making.

Job Details

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Conduct comprehensive studies, survey research, and ad hoc reports; Activities include identifying research questions, designing protocols, analyzing data, interpreting findings to help make sense of the information, and reporting findings through developing narrative reports, tables, dashboards, infographics, and other data visualizations.

Respond to internal and external data requests of varying complexity, including managing the institution’s compliance reporting and supporting grant development.

Manage the office’s survey research program, including the design and administration of survey instruments and the reporting/analysis of survey results.

Provide guidance and training to faculty and staff in using OIR deliverables.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to detail office reporting standards, protocols, and processes, including the maintenance of an institutional research calendar to ensure that cyclical project timelines are met.

Work collaboratively across units in auditing existing processes to identify opportunities for process improvement and to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of regular and ad hoc reporting.

Support the College’s data governance efforts by proactively identifying data issues and working collaboratively in the implementation of effective data management practices and procedures supporting student success, continuous improvement, and institutional effectiveness.

Maintain a current knowledge of policies, procedures, and technologies in areas of expertise.
