Job Details
Title of Position: Adjunct Faculty – Applied Statistics (Undergraduate level)
Status: Part Time: Fall 2022
Department: Health Sciences (College of Health Professions, East Falls Campus)
Qualifications: Minimum two years of college teaching experience in content area or related discipline
Education Required:  Graduate degree in related field such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Psychology, Health Sciences
Responsibilities: Teach 1 to 3 sections of Applied Statistics course to undergraduate health sciences students.
 
Students learn about basic statistics and epidemiologic study design in a health science context. The course emphasizes analysis and interpretation of statistical results, and generation of tables and graphs that inform reports, evaluations, and quality improvement efforts in the public health space.  
 
Each course section meets twice/week for 1 hour and 15 minutes each meeting. Schedule can be M/W or T/Th in the morning or afternoon.

The Department of Health Sciences of Thomas Jefferson University – East Falls Campus seeks qualified and experienced adjunct teaching faculty to teach an undergraduate applied statistics course in Fall 2022 and subsequent semesters.  The course meets twice/week for 1 hour and 15 minutes each session on M/W or T/Th in the morning or afternoon.
 
Students learn about basic statistics and epidemiologic study design in a health science context. The course emphasizes analysis and interpretation of statistical results, and generation of tables and graphs that inform reports, evaluations, and quality improvement efforts in the public health space. The university uses Canvas as the course management system.
 
A graduate degree in an appropriate relevant field such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Psychology, Health Sciences and at least two years of college teaching experience are required. A terminal degree is desirable. Successful applicants will be independent, motivated instructors with initiative and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and dedication to student engagement and learning are important required skills for this position.
