Primary Objectives:  The coordinator works with various departments and all levels of college stakeholders (administrators, faculty, and staff) and vendors as the subject matter expert for the software used to establish, monitor, and document assessment, planning and accreditation goals, and develop data-based measures. In addition, administer national benchmark surveys, design and conduct in-depth interviews, focus groups and other research-based activities and supports the college’s strategic plan and its institutional effectiveness components.

Specific Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the college’s strategic plan and regional accreditation-based goals and outcome requirements; work closely with the VP for Institutional Effectiveness, the provost and other members of the college to establish best practices in capturing and reporting institutional effectiveness data leading to achievement of the mission.
  • Work closely with administrative, enrollment and academic units to routinely document improvement strategies, based in institutional or survey data; compile and conduct institutional research pertaining to student success, academic performance, retention, progression, student satisfaction, graduation, internships, post-graduation employment, regional accreditation.
  • Strategically identify new areas of focus and research beneficial to institutional effectiveness
  • Assist in the study design and methodological questions related to projects of various institutional, planning and assessment projects
  • Design and conduct all qualitative research plans and administer all national benchmark surveys for institutional effectiveness, assessment and other functional areas as necessary; support intuitional self-study; summarize and compare data from surveys to benchmark the college
Maintain and update the annual and institutional effectiveness report and serve as the primary technical contact, consultant, and document management required to maintain the software solution (SPOL).
