Position Overview:
As the Director of Analytics and Institutional Research, you will be at the forefront of harnessing the power of data to drive strategic decision-making within our college. Your responsibilities will encompass data collection, analysis, interpretation, and application, both for external reporting requirements and internal analytical needs. Collaboration will be key, as you engage with college administration to provide data analysis and insights to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, analyze, and interpret institutional data to inform decision-making.
- Provide information and counsel to college administration for external data submissions.
- Align data and metrics with institutional strategic planning and goal setting.
- Provide predictive modeling support for enrollment, retention, student success, and financial operations planning for the college.
- Manage processes to enhance data quality, integrity, and availability.
- Oversee external reporting for the college, including mandatory reporting to state and federal agencies.
- Serve as a liaison to external agencies ensuring accreditation and status reporting.
- Implement effective strategies, policies, and procedures for the office.
- Master’s Degree – Statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science, sociology
- 5-8 years’ work experience
- Experience in data analytics, reporting, data services, project management, and data governance, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in data governance frameworks, data modeling, and data lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in emerging technologies and methodologies in reporting and data analytic services.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, with experience ensuring compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse range of audiences.
- Desirable experience includes accreditation processes, assessment of student learning outcomes, assessment of administrative departments, institutional research, academic program review, and working with accreditation and program approval agencies.
