Functions and Responsibilities

 

Job Summary Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, and Assessment (IEPA), the Research Coordinator is responsible for performing data analysis and reporting for the institution’s assessment processes for the department.
Supervisory Role Oral and written instructions are received from the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, and Assessment. The Research Coordinator may supervise support staff or student workers.
Duties & Responsibilities 1. Provide analytics and reporting on pre-collected program level assessment data each semester in accordance with programmatic curriculum maps, semester teaching assignments, IEPA’s Program Assessment Manual, and the Office’s data collection timelines.

2. Provide analytics and reporting on pre-collected general education level assessment data in accordance with IEPA’s ECC Competency and General Education Assessment Manual and the Office’s data collection timelines.
3. Provide analytics and reporting of pre-collected ECC Competency (institutional learning outcome) assessment data in accordance with IEPA’s ECC Competency and General Education Assessment Manual and the Office’s data collection timelines.
4. Provide analytics and reporting of pre-collected data for IEPA’s annual cycle of institutional assessment surveys. This includes, but is not limited to the following annual surveys: Non-Enrolled Applicant Survey, New Student Questionnaire, Student Satisfaction and Engagement Survey, Employee Campus Climate Survey, Student Campus Climate Survey, Non-Returning Student Survey, Graduate Survey and Alumni Survey.
5. Assist with the managing of the regularly scheduled internal reporting and archival of documents for the following processes: student learning assessment processes, administrative unit assessment, program review, strategic planning implementation processes. 
6. Produce labor market analyses using tools such as Lightcast (formerly EMSI), and data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to support College decision making.
7. Coordinate the development and design of online data collection instruments using Qualtrics.
8. Assist IEPA staff with Student Evaluation of Faculty process.
9. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student, staff, and client records.
10. Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Experience analyzing data, preferably at an institution of higher education.
3. Experience with online survey platforms such as Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey, preferably at an institution of higher education.
4. Excellent quantitative reasoning skills.
5. Excellent organizational/archival skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
8. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree
Licenses and Certifications (including e.g., CPR, first aid, driver’s license, etc.)  

Preferred Qualifications

 

Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Bachelor’s degree in related area. 
2. Experience working with a higher education planning and assessment platform such as Anthology, Weave, Nuventive Improve, Strategic Planning On-Line (SPOL), or other similar platform.
3. Experience processing student evaluations of faculty.
4. Experience working effectively with diverse academic, staff and student populations as well as external constituents.
