Create Infographics to Communicate Your Data - Part Two
2/23/2021
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Event Description
In this second part of the workshop, will focus on creating the content for the infographics including curating data, modifying charts and advanced examples of data visualizations that use Visual Basic Application in Excel.

In a world that is increasingly media saturated, campus stakeholders are seeking and expecting digestible chunks of data. Charts, infographics, maps and pop out quotes are what capture attention as everyone scans their phone or social media sites for information.

Institutional Research offices need to create these data visualizations in order to communicate the vast amount of information and data they are collecting and analyzing on a daily, monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

This workshop will be conducted in two parts to learn how to create infographics and other media visualizations using Microsoft office products. This workshop will be helpful to anyone who conducts presentations, wants to create content to post to social media, or creates visuals for standard reports and email distributions.

Each workshop part will be a 1.5 hour virtual webinar where the participants can follow along during the workshops as well as access asynchronous content for practicing on their own.
  • The first workshop session will focus on framing infographics and how to think about content/telling a story as well as planning and designing an infographic.
  • The second workshop session will focus on creating the content for the infographics including curating data, modifying charts and advanced examples of data visualizations that use Visual Basic Application in Excel.

Presenter:  Laura Sturgill, West Chester University

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a 1.5 hr virtual Workshop webinar. You will receive a Zoom link one day prior and one hour prior to the workshop.  The workshop session will be recorded and made available for 30 days after the workshops has ended.

Given the financial duress caused by the coronavirus pandemic, NEAIR leadership has priced these workshops to be affordable for everyone at $29 per part for NEAIR members; $59 per part for non-members.
