Brief Description
The Director of Institutional Research will provide general institutional support to the College's planning, evaluation, budgeting, and institutional effectiveness systems and projects through data collection and analysis for new and ongoing initiatives. The Director provides information and analytic support to HCC's administrative decision makers in order to facilitate strategic planning, policy-making, resource allocations, enrollment projections, and other processes requiring sound strategic analysis.

Job Details
Education and experience - Master's degree in research related studies such as social science, statistics, math, business or related fields; minimum three years' experience in conducting research studies and working with database systems, preferably within an educational setting; community college experience highly desirable; experience with Ellucian Colleague or related administrative software systems highly preferred.

Skills and abilities - Proficient in the use of current statistical analysis and data visualization techniques, report writing tools/query languages, i.e., SPSS, SQL, and Access; highly skilled with all Microsoft Office applications; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and write reports with attention to accuracy, details and deadlines.
