Many mid-career professionals find themselves leading teams and initiatives while balancing competing responsibilities at work, at home, and in their communities. They are often navigating organizational change, evolving family roles, and questions about their own future. This session explores the realities of midlife leadership through a combination of research, storytelling, and guided reflection. Participants will examine what the literature says about adult development, resilience, purpose, and career transitions, while considering their own experiences and challenges. The session will provide practical strategies for managing competing demands, sustaining well-being, and approaching the next stage of leadership with intention and clarity.

- identify key developmental, professional, and personal factors that contribute to the unique challenges and opportunities of midlife leadership.
- learn evidence-based strategies for managing competing demands related to career advancement, caregiving responsibilities, organizational change, and personal well-being.
- evaluate current leadership priorities and responsibilities through a structured reflection process designed to support resilience, purpose, and long-term effectiveness.
- develop an individualized action plan for navigating the next stage of their leadership journey with greater intention and clarity.
